Community Life

A key part of being a local church is showing Jesus' love to the local community, therefore at ABC we are constantly looking for ways to engage within our community. |
Our community action team works to serve the local community in very practical ways, through continued involvement in the Ampthill Festival, and in the setting up of a church coffee shop.
Jubilee Coffee Shop is open 10-12 am every Wednesday, providing a friendly and relaxed environment where people can receive a warm welcome and unhurried refreshment. ABC believes in supporting the global community as well as the local one, so all our beverages will be fairtrade!
We have recently entered into a partnership with various local organisations to provide a club night at the White Hart for school years 9 and 10. This launches in April 2009.
We also serve the community by opening our building for others to use. Organisations that benefit from this are:
Ampthill Quaker Meeting; Ampthill Parents and Toddlers; Bedfordshire Natural History Society; Ampthill Community Liaison Forum; Bedfordshire County Council Social Services; Hanover Housing Association Residents Meetings.
