Pastor and Team Leader - Rev. Martin Cockerill
Martin moved from Brighton to Ampthill in 2007 to become the newest member of the ABC team. He is married to Clare and they have two young sons, Toby and Samuel. In his pre-Ampthill life, Martin has worked as a gym manager, a church worker, did six months with a Christian circus in
Brazil and attended London School of Theology, where he received his degree and met Clare. Martin was ordained as a Baptist Minister in March 2011 at ABC.
Martin is a commited Leicester City fan, enjoys running, playing golf, spending time out and about with his family.
Martin is passionate about Jesus, the local church and the community, and wants to see the church reach out to meet the needs of the community.
Pastor - Rev. Ken Argent
Ken Argent has served as Pastor of Churches in Horsham and Luton and as Director General of the Christian Youth Organisation Campaigner Ministries. Now 'officially' on the Baptist Union retired list he serves as a Pastor at Ampthill Baptist Church caring for the Church community.
He is married to Gill and they have seven grandchildren.
Ken enjoys photography, watercolour painting, gardening and walking.
The Pastoral Team work in partnership with a team of Deacons who are the legal Trustees of Ampthill Baptist Church. Deacons are appointed by the Church Members who meet regularly to prayerfully discern what they believe to be God's guidance for Church decisions.

Rachel Lewis provides the admin support at Ampthill Baptist Church and staffs the office, which is open Monday to Friday 9.30am-12.30pm. Rachel is probably the best port of call to find out anything about ABC. If she doesn't know, then she knows someone who does!
